The Mahabharata Utsav is being organized by the Mahabharata Samshodhana
Pratisthanam, (Mahabharata Research Foundation) a non profit Indic Research
organization based in Bangalore and recognized by Govt. of India
Started in 1997, by a group of young techies working in diverse IT firms
like IBM, Wipro and Intel, it has been established to mainly contextualize
India's ancient wisdom and knowledge and use it to improve the quality
of life of people across the world. It is also involved in the research
and development of new tools and technologies and distribute them as freeware
as needed by scholars of Indic Systems.
New initiatives and projects include:
A Digital Mobile Lab for Manuscripts and Heritage
Encyclopedia of Mahabharata.
